Vantage MedTech is seeking a highly motivated, self-starting, hunter-minded Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member in our commercial growth strategy, you’ll work directly with the Sr. Vice President of Business Development. This individual will lead multichannel prospecting efforts, maintains CRM integrity, support proposal development, and advance lower-value opportunities from discovery through close under the direction of the SVP of BD. This role is ideal for someone who loves to chase and wants to grow as a high-impact commercial leader within Vantage MedTech. This position requires occasional travel to customers and potential prospects.
We are seeking candidates located in the Northeast U.S. or in Northern or Southern California to ensure appropriate client coverage and support for business needs. We do not offer relocation assistance.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary relationship lead for assigned accounts, driving annual revenue growth and customer engagement.
Proactively identify, research, assess, execute, and skillfully negotiate new business opportunities that expand revenue while maintaining existing relationships and leveraging VMT’s capabilities.
Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts for all assigned accounts.
Maintain up‑to‑date and accurate lead, account, and opportunity information in Salesforce.
Work cross‑functionally to support successful program execution for assigned customers; participate in weekly pipeline reviews and other required meetings.
Plan, coordinate, and support discovery and follow‑up meetings with prospective and existing customers.
Develop and manage proposals, pricing input, statements of work (SOWs), and supporting materials for both new and current accounts.
Core Deliverables:
Expand revenue within assigned accounts by identifying new opportunities, maintaining regular communication, and ensuring strong customer engagement and satisfaction. Drive repeat business, follow‑on programs, and expanded service opportunities.
Proactively acquire new customers through targeted multichannel outreach. Conduct thorough research and pre‑qualification on prospects and market trends to uncover new business opportunities.
Develop customer strategies and account plans by assessing current capabilities, evaluating the project pipeline, and prioritizing high‑value opportunities and effective go‑to‑market approaches.
Advance customer opportunities by leveraging internal technologies and resources. Use Salesforce to accurately define, track, and manage leads and opportunities through all pipeline stages.
Identify and assess potential strategic partnerships to generate new business, with a focus on areas such as Minimally Invasive Surgery, Robotic Surgical Systems, Active Implantable & Wearable Devices, RF Energy Delivery, Drug Delivery, Pulsed Field Ablation, Neurostimulation, Advanced Visualization & Imaging, and Mobile/Connected/Cybersecure platforms.
Qualifications and Experience:
B.S. in Business or Engineering preferred.
5+ years of experience in sales, marketing, customer support, or business operations.
Strong interest in medical technology and sales processes.
Effective leadership, communication, and negotiating skills with high intellectual capacity and maturity.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
Experience working in an ISO 13485–compliant medical device CDMO environment with successful contributions to projects of varying scale and complexity.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
Confident and proactive with cold prospecting (making outreach calls, sending prospecting emails, etc.).

This position offers a salary range of $130,000-150,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition to the salary range, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer match, and generous paid time off.
