The Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) division of Vantage MedTech focuses on modernizing how regulated and non-regulated organizations design, develop, validate, and maintain complex products. We help companies select, implement, and scale ALM, PLM, and QMS platforms to manage product design activities across requirements, risk, verification, validation, and traceability.

This position offers a salary range of $74,000 - $84,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition to the salary range, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer match, and generous paid time off

About the ALM Division

- Platform selection and architecture design
- Secure cloud hosting (AWS and hybrid environments)
- System implementation, configuration, and validation
- User training, adoption, and change management
- Ongoing managed services and operational support

Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Deploy, configure, and manage the cloud infrastructure components required for running Polarion ALM and Jama Connect.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and scalability of the cloud resources.
- Implement and enforce cloud computing best practices for security, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Cloud Applications (Polarion ALM and Jama Connect) Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain instances of cloud applications (Polarion ALM and Jama Connect).
- Perform regular system maintenance tasks such as backups, upgrades, and patching.
- Monitor and troubleshoot platform issues and coordinate with vendors or internal teams for resolution.
- User Management and Support
- Create and manage user accounts, groups, and permissions within the cloud applications (Polarion ALM and Jama Connect).
- Provide user support and troubleshoot issues related to platform usage.
- Conduct user training and create documentation for platform usage.
- Platform Customization and Integration
- Customize and configure the cloud applications (Polarion ALM and Jama Connect) to meet specific project requirements.
- Develop and maintain custom workflows, templates, and reports.
- Collaborate with development teams to define and implement integration points with other AWS services or tools.
- Security and Compliance
Ensure the security and compliance of the cloud applications.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including access controls, data protection, and encryption.
- Stay updated on cloud application security features, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring and Performance Optimization
- Implement monitoring tools and processes to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks or issues.
- Conduct capacity planning and scaling activities to ensure the platforms can handle projected usage and growth.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of proven experience as a Cloud Administrator in an AWS environment.
- Experience in deploying and managing applications on AWS using infrastructure-as-code tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
- Understanding of Polarion ALM and Jama Connect administration and configuration preferred.
- Familiarity with software development and project management methodologies.
- Relevant AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or AWS Certified Solutions Architect, are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
